Description
"Inspector Estelle Javert -though not many knew her given name- was subject to gossip quite frequently. Males are even worse than ladies when it comes to gossip.
Even more so today, when she received a letter from the galleys at Toulon, and sat in her desk staring at this letter, it came along with another, more formally written one, and more than one of the younger officers looked at the only woman in the force in wonder, for it was the first time in their lives they had seen the hardened woman shed tears and choke back sobs.
Jean Valjean had disappeared into the sea while attempting to save a sailor from drowning, they had not found his corpse, and now, Estelle Javert was receiving a handful of letters found in the man's cell, all addressed to her, that he was probably not brave enough to send.
Not only had she received these letters, but also a message from the house of Laffitte saying that M. Madeleine -Or Jean Valjean if you wish- had left a considerable sum of money in her name, that was to be given to her only in the event of his death, and the factory he possessed in M. -sur M.- so she could do with it as she pleased.
As Estelle read the letters, one after the other, all for her, vague memories came back to her, but mostly, the one the convict remembered the most: A ball in celebration of his ascent as mayor of M. -sur M.-, to which Estelle had been forced to go and was not comfortable in, and where she had worn a beige colored gown with blue moons and stars all over it, that night, the man confessed, Estelle had taken his breath away...
This would probably be the first and the last time anyone ever saw Estelle Javert cry... And she didn't even know why..."

After a whole two days of fighting with photoshop, this little number is done, I don't remember where I took some of these brushes from, so if they are yours, please let me know so I can credit you :3
's image of fem!Javert made me do it xD And also, this was a practice in drawing a 1850-55 style dress, this body was at first, faceless, but then I thought 'Oh, what the hell?!'
Sadly, I realized too late that the period in M. -sur M.- had a different clothing style, but alas, there is nothing to do now xD
Also, I investigated AFTER I came up with the given name for Javert and realized, much to my amusement, that Estelle means 'Star' xD
